Nate turned 5 years old this month.
He also had his first birthday party. It was all about CARS this year.
Nate had 8 little friends show up to help him celebrate. We had the party on a Friday afternoon, while all the big kids were at school :) We had a great lunch that consisted of pizza rolls and grapes. After lunch, we played Pass the Parcel, and Nate's favorite, Motor-man knockout... it's kind of like bowling, but instead we used a remote control car to knock over the oil cans (honestly, it was more of an attempt to come up with last minute entertainment at 3:00 AM the night before, but the kids loved it, and it was a bigger hit than I expected).
After, we had a Lightening McQueen Pinata. Nate wanted to cover his eyes, using his hat.
Followed by cake...
Later that night, we celebrated with the family. We ordered pizza and Sam made a special German Chocolate cake. It was delicious - he did a great job.
