Evan's Orchard

In October, I went with Nate on a field trip to an orchard in Lexington.
It was so much fun.

The kids played for hours and hours afterwards,
I couldn't wait to go back with the older kids.

Over fall break, we had beautiful weather,
and I needed pictures of all 4 of the kids together.
I had it all planned out with bribes and all,
I thought the orchard would provide the perfect back drop for our pictures.
We got up one morning, ate breakfast,
got everyone dressed, picked up a few things around the house, fed the baby and
finally had everyone in the car and realized, it was already time to feed everyone again!
By the time we had lunch and drove the hour to the orchard,
it was time to feed the baby again, and I knew if we didn't hurry,
even my bribes wouldn't be sufficient for the cooperation I needed that day.
I know, it's just the way it is with kids, life revolves around the 3 hour feeding schedule,
even the older kids have to eat every 3 hours - life is a lot calmer when they do.
Of course when they saw all the fun things to do at the orchard,
I couldn't get them to focus on me anyway.
The kids were good and they did try hard to sit still for the pictures,
but there was just so much to see and they were so excited to go play.
