The first weekend in December brought beautiful weather.
Saturday morning, we got up early to watch the annual Christmas parade
come through town and see Santa Clause in a firetruck,
As we walked home and looked at the millions
and millions of leaves covering our yard,
and realized what a beautiful day it was going to be,
we decided that we had better get those leaves cleaned up once and for all.
We had gone out to rake the leaves a dozen times in the weeks before,
but it sure didn't look like it. The good news this time,
was that all of the trees above us were finally bare,
so hoping that this would be our last hurrah for the season,
we enlisted everyone's help.
18 bags of leaves and 6 showers later, we went out for ice cream
because these kids worked really hard and daddy worked even harder.

| Mean trick that is - to give Lemon Tart ice cream to a boy who was clearly hoping for chocolate (He must be my son, I'm pretty sure that anything other than chocolate is just a waste of calories) |

| And this little boy is about to lose an ear because he was caught sneaking someone else's ice cream And I'm just really happy because our yard is finally ready for winter. |
