Nate's first word - he means basketball of course. He has found every ball in our house and loves to throw them. Jeremy is very hopeful. As most of you know, Jer is a sports enthusiast who loves to play and watch sports of any kind. I have never had much of a nack for anything athletic - can we say "throw like a girl." Our first child has not shown any real desire to participate in sports. Sam likes to swim and we may yet be able to turn him into a golfer, but all early attempts at soccer, baseball or basketball have not been received with any lasting enthusiam. In fact Santa brought Sam a basketball for Christmas. Sam was so excited that first day, and hasn't touched it since. Nathan on the other hand has claimed the basketball and it is his favorite item in the house next to his pacifier. Jeremy is crossing his fingers.

Cute! Spencer is just starting to say his first words too. I love this stage. Remember that weird word he was saying at your house? We figured out he was trying to say GO. It eventually turned in to that!
