While my parents were here, my mom wanted to go to Fort Knox and see the Bullion Depository where the majority of U.S. gold is kept. The Depository itself is off limits, but we were able to drive by it and see it from the freeway. On the way there, we found this fun tank off the side of the road that the kids enjoyed exploring. We also went to the General George Patton Museum. It is not a very big museum, but the kids loved it and it was full of history. We saw all sorts of military vehicles and equipment and we were able to see what the inside of a tank looks like. This was Sam's favorite part of spring break.
