A Day in Frankfort, KY

Before my parents came into town, I had researched some fun things we could do. I came across a link that talked about the covered bridges of Kentucky. I had an elaborate plan to take a day trip on Friday to see as many bridges as we could. But the week had been so busy and we had already spent so much time in the car that no one (including myself) really felt up to a long drive on Friday. Jeremy had taken the day off work and didn't want to spend his day off driving all day either. We did however, make it to see one historical bridge - Switzer Covered Bridge - located in Frankfort.
(Sam - always building something. I believe this was the beginning of a fence to keep his sister out.)

After the bridge, we decided to go check out the Kentucky state capitol building. 3:00 pm on a Friday afternoon makes a nice & quiet time to visit.
