A Bedtime Story

If you give a boy a pillow,
his brothers are going to try and take it from him.
And when his brothers take his pillow,
that boy is going to want his pillow back.
He will wrestle for it.
While that boy wrestles with his brother,
baby brother is going to find the diapers
(and dump them out for the fourteenth time that day)
and when those diapers are dumped all over the floor,
little boys will find flying diapers very amusing

they will want to find funny ways to wear them.
When little boys get too funny, their mom will send them to bed.
She will remind them that they need to brush their teeth first.
Big sister will go right to bed without having to be asked twice
On the way to bed, the brothers will make their way toward the stairs.
Seeing the stairs will remind those brothers
that they hadn't finished their wrestling match
When mom hears them wrestling,
she will once again tell them to go to bed...
and please be quiet
Hearing mom's voice will remind baby brother that he wants his mom.
He will cry.
When baby brother cries, mom will demand that all children get in bed immediately.
She will need to tell that boy to get in his own bed.

And when he finally gets in his own bed...

That boy is going to want a pillow to go with it.
