So this is a follow up to my garden post a few weeks ago. This garden/backyard belongs to my father-in-law, Doug, and he has done it all himself. Years of planning and hard work and it is so peaceful and beautiful. The thing I really love about it, is that it a real garden - these are all vegetable/fruit plants, but he has planted them in such a lovely way that they are both decorative and functional. Someday, maybe my garden will look more like this....
On the left are the strawberry plants and on the right are a variety of vegetables. Around the corner are raspberry bushes.
Doug also built this shed and laid the walkway.
Underneath the deck are berries - I think blackberries.
For the last year, he has been working on this Gazebo which he built by himself, shingles and all.
